Easter is a holiday in the Christian religion. On Easter, Christians remember a story about a man named Jesus. Christians believe Jesus is the son of God. He lived many years ago. He had many followers who listened to his teachings. Jesus and his followers lived in an area that was ruled by a group called the Romans. The Romans thought that people who listened to Jesus would stop following Roman leaders. So, the Romans killed Jesus.

After he died, Jesus's body was placed in a cave. Three days after Jesus died, some of his followers went to the cave. Jesus's body was not there. The followers heard that Jesus had come back to life. Later, Jesus spoke to his followers. At the end of the Easter story, Jesus went to live with God in heaven.
